How It’s Made
Why it tastes so good…
We use fresh milk from our happy, grass-fed free range herd at Callestick Farm, rich double cream or thick Cornish clotted cream, as well as the finest natural ingredients to produce flavour upon flavour of champion Cornish ice cream.
Clotted cream is a renowned Cornish treasure, and is a much denser, richer cream than most, which gives it a more concentrated flavour in the ice cream. We, like our customers, think this differentiation is key to creating the tastiest ice cream around!
Proud producers for
Marks & Spencer
We scooped this amazing contract with foodie retail giant, M&S, back in 2021, and have increased our factory size by 60%, with a new high-tech spiral freezer!
The M&S Cornish range is now 100% our product - produced and dispatched from our farm here in the heart of Cornwall to freezers in M&S stores all across the UK.
Like many businesses within the ice cream sector, our 125ml tubs are packaged in paperboard containers with a thin plastic lining. This type of packaging uses less plastic than fully plastic alternatives while still providing the necessary durability needed to hold our ice cream, as paper packaging alone would not be sufficient. Using a plastic lining helps maintain the quality and integrity of the product throughout its shelf life.
All of our tubs are fully recyclable. Recycling facilities for paper, cardboard, and plastics are available through every UK local authority, although collection and sorting methods can differ depending on where you live. For the most up-to-date information, we recommend checking your local recycling guidance via https://www.recyclenow.com/
As the plastic lining accounts for less than 15% of the tub's overall weight, the containers can be recycled alongside paper and cardboard materials, provided they have been thoroughly cleaned.
The spoons supplied with our 125ml tubs are made from paper and fully recyclable.
Our 1L family-sized tubs are fully recyclable in the kerbside plastic collection scheme.
