General Farm Worker / Tractor Driver

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our farm team as a General Farm Worker, with a significant amount of tractor driving involved.

We are a progressive mixed farm consisting of:

500 spring-calving dairy cows (milked OAD)
230+ finishing beef cattle
150+ acres of cereals

Milk is processed on-farm into ice cream, with the remaining supply sold to Arla. The dairy herd is grazed for most of the year using a rotational grazing system. The majority of fieldwork is carried out in-house using our own machinery, with contractors used for foraging, combining and umbilical slurry spreading.

Role Responsibilities

Livestock duties during the calving period (mid-February to mid-April)
Feeding and bedding livestock while winter housed
A wide variety of tractor driving operations throughout the year
Occasional livestock work outside of the calving period
Machinery maintenance and servicing
Digger work as required

Candidate Requirements

Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
High attention to detail with a tidy and organised approach
Strong work ethic
Full UK driving licence
Competent in maintaining and servicing machinery
Telehandler certificate preferred, but not essential

Additional Information

12 days on / 2 days off rota
Remuneration dependent on experience
