Our tea room anniversary refurbishment is proving a massive hit
Our tea room was given a complete makeover during the winter months and now boasts new counter space, furnishings and menu – just in time for us to celebrate our thirtieth anniversary at the end of June.
“It’s been an excellent start to the season with more customers than we’ve ever seen before and not just at weekends but on weekdays too,” said Marketing Manager Amy Breach. “Our new choices are proving a big hit, especially the ice cream sundaes, our bigger ice-cream cones and the hot waffles.
“The good weather has helped, of course, but the feedback we’ve been getting on the café layout and re-decoration has all been very positive.”
We currently produce about 700,000 litres of ice-cream each year from our 385-strong dairy herd that graze on 800 acres of surrounding grassland. Having recently signed a five-year contract with a Chinese wholesaler, we’re also exporting for the first time in our history.
“It’s a milestone year for us, with lots of very exciting developments in the pipeline,” said Amy. “Being able to show people what we do and how we do it has always been important to us and we’re delighted to see so many visitors taking the opportunity to come and see our ice-creamery in action, whilst also tasting what comes out of it!”
