Things to do
Our working family farm is just a few miles from Truro, north of the A30, but a world away from noisy traffic and bustling crowds.
In the Summer months, our car park is home to a collection of farm animals, some rare breeds, including various breeds of chickens and pigs, our shire horse and sometimes calves or heifers too.
We also have a viewing gallery so you can look down on Sebastian and his team in the ice cream factory making and packing the ice cream. These days, machines do a lot of the hard work for us, however all but the smallest tubs are still filled by hand and so this makes up the main of the work in the factory. We do not make ice cream around the clock unfortunately, it depends upon our stocks, the time of year and the day of the week as to whether Sebastian will be making ice cream when you visit, but chances are during the Summer there will be something to watch.
Our DVD runs in the viewing gallery throughout the day, to give you an insight into how the farm is run and how our ice cream is made.
We also have a spacious tearoom and shop at the farm serving snacks, light lunches, cream teas, hot and cold drinks and, of course, the best ice cream you'll ever taste! The shop has a great stock of local foods and crafts to take away as pressies or for yourself!

We will re-open on Thursday 28th March.

In order for our cows to give us milk for our ice cream, they first have to have a calf. The girl calves (heifers) grow up and eventually join the other cows in the herd. So, as you can imagine, we have lots of calves born at Callestick Farm all year round. We need your help though. We are running out of nice names for the calves and so we have created this competition to choose the 5 best. The next 5 calves to be born at Callestick Farm will be awarded with the winning names - so get thinking! Email me with your own contact details including your name and address and your chosen calf name and I will let you know how you get on!
